MARVIN Pre-conference Workshop
Time: 10.30 to 4.30pm
Venue: Opus International at the Energy Events Centre (Level 1)

This workshop will focus on the internationally multi-award winning MARVIN software, how it can be implemented and the requirements for no cost access along with tips and suggestions on possible classroom scenarios and inter-country collaboration along with plenty of hands on interactive MARVIN activities.
MARVIN is an exciting innovative and engaging animation software application created in the Northern Territory of Australia. It embodies a philosophy of empowerment and ownership. MARVIN allows inexpensive, flexible and relevant education, health and governance resources to be created in the community, by the community and for the community in real time in any language.
From a technical perspective MARVIN is a complete 3D character (avatar) based resource and e-learning development Microsoft.Net application. It allows for the rapid creation of culturally specific and multi-lingual policy, education and health promotion materials ranging from interactive, animated e-learning lessons to paper-based flip charts. It is easy to use yet immensely powerful and was designed specifically to enable those with differing language/literacy/ICT skill sets to be able to develop professional animated presentations and education resources with low end hardware access.
In conjunction with Learning at Schools we are running a no cost full day pre-conference MARVIN workshop. Please register your interest with us at http://www.marvin.com.au/school/training.aspx Spaces are limited to 30 people maximum.
